American Actor Selects The Players Club of Swarthmore as The Home For The Finals on December 11, 2007!

Mike Shoeman, creator and producer of American Actor, and Ariel Schwartz, New Century Television creator and producer, announced today the Home of American Actor for the Finals on December 11, 2007: The Players Club of Swarthmore.

American Actor will be telecast on the Internet LIVE from The Players Club's Stage and on the set of A Christmas Story which will have opened on November 23 at the venerable theater.

The Players Club of Swarthmore (pcstheater.org) is producing its 97th consecutive season of theater just outside of Philadelphia, PA. It has one of the finest physical plants of any 300-seat theater on the east coast. It has a 7-play Main Stage season, a 4-play Second Stage season, and is the home of Young People's Theatre Workshop, its classes, and its productions.

Mike Shoeman announced, "After exploring many options, American Actor selected The Players Club for its physical plant, outstanding acting and audience spaces, small-town American charm, nearby restaurants, free parking, Internet connection, and its easy access to major roads (including Interstates 95 and 476 and PA Rt. 320) and SEPTA buses and trains. Philadelphia International Airport is 12 minutes away."

Shoeman met with Players Club President George Mulford and Development Director Bohdan Senkow to make the arrangements which were ratified by their Board. Charlie Seymour Jr, Founder and CEO of StageMagazineOnline.com, was instrumental in bringing everyone together.

The Players Club of Swarthmore is a co-sponsor of American Actor along with Mike Lemon Casting, StageMagazineOnline.com, Q102, and Village Productions.

The Players Club is located off Rt 320 just south of Swarthmore minutes from Rts. I-95 and I-476. It's current production is Assassins playing October 18 - November 3, 2007 followed by A Christmas Story, November 23 - December 15, 2007.
