Rx For The Exhausted Casting Director (And Vocalist, Too)

Put yourself, for just a moment, into the place of a casting director for a big theater musical. (Some of you LIVE there.)

You've just listened to a long list of auditioners. Sopranos, altos, baritones and basses - maybe even a couple of real tenors.

Many of the singers are very good. Some have long, impressive resumes. But you just haven't heard The Voice that will make your show soar.

What to do? Start over? Spend precious days phoning, calling, networking, begging, when what you really need to do is start rehearsing?

What if you could just sit down at your computer, enter some search criteria - age, voice range, experience, whatever you envision your dream soloist to be - and not only get - within SECONDS - a list of people matching your criteria but even HEAR them, perhaps singing some of the very songs from your show, in audio clips that they have posted?

Flip the coin, and think of the auditioner, saved the vocal strain of yet another audition, perhaps not able to make the audition but still interested in the part…. What a dream. A virtual audition, conducted from the ease of your computer chair…

But wait. It's NOT a dream. It's a reality, out on the horizon still, a little ways away - but there, and COMING…. It's moving into reality more and more every day. And with it comes the Talent File of available soloists, actors, tech people….
