World Premiere of Acting Contest will be
Live-in-the-Theater and Live-on-the Internet
(Swarthmore, PA) Swarthmore Mayor Elric C. Gerner proclaimed December 11, 2007 as “American Actor Finals In Swarthmore Day” as the World Premiere of the American Idol-style competition has its first Finals on the stage of The Players Club of Swarthmore.
It will be LIVE in the theater beginning at 7:30 PM and LIVE on the Internet beginning at 8:00 PM.
A Mayoral Proclamation
American Actor Finals in Swarthmore Day
Whereas, The Players Club of Swarthmore has been a part of the Swarthmore community for nearly 100 years; and
Whereas, members of the Seymour-Dolman family have been actively involved in the Swarthmore community for five generations through our schools, churches, swim club, recreation association, Christmas Pageant, Memorial Day and Fourth of July Celebrations, and The Players Club of Swarthmore; and
Whereas, The Players Club of Swarthmore and Charles Seymour Jr, through his local Internet company, StageMagazineOnline.com, are instrumental in bringing the World Premiere of American Actor to The Players Club’s stage for the first Finals; and
Whereas, New Century Television, Ariel Schwartz, and Mike Shoeman have partnered with The Players Club of Swarthmore, StageMagazineOnline.com, Mike Lemon Casting, Q102, Village Productions, and LifeACT to premiere the Live on Stage and Live on the Internet World Premiere of American Actor and present it in our community, bringing recognition to each of them and the Borough of Swarthmore.
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE PROCLAIMED, THAT, on behalf of all the Citizens of the Borough of Swarthmore, I, Elric C. Gerner, as Mayor of the Borough of Swarthmore, do proclaim Tuesday, December 11, 2007 as American Actor Day in Swarthmore, Pennsylvania.

American Actor is an innovative new way that actors, writers, and filmmakers in the Philadelphia area (and eventually the country) will be showcased and discovered through an exciting new online television opportunity.
Actors have been selected from among hundreds who auditioned and then were given specific challenges to prove their talent and versatility. The audience watches their progress online from week to week and participates in deciding who wins the competition. The stakes are high, since top Hollywood talent agents will be part of the judging panel, and the winner may get a chance to appear in a network TV show!
