Gerner hold Voter Registration Forms as Joseph Lentz (10 month old son of State Representative Bryan Lentz and Jen Lentz, who is holding Joseph) looks on. Everyone gathered on Super Bowl Sunday to show their support for Voter Registration. The Players Club of Swarthmore presents the political action play, The Best Man, for much of the month of February and it will register voters at every performance. Cast members join the political leaders on the stage of The Players Club to show how important voting is, and it all starts with being registered.

The Players Club of Swarthmore wants you to vote!

Throughout the production of The Best Man, the Players Club will get you registered to vote.

You've seen the headlines: Obama, Clinton Spar Over Two Issues; McCain Takes Battle Onto Romney Turf; An Appeal To Youth - Message Of Change Makes Politics 'Relevant Again' For Young Voters.

Pennsylvania voters thought that their primary was so late (Tuesday, April 27, 2008) that there would be NO SAY in the national election outcome. But as the race tightens and it comes down to two candidates in each major party, PA voters may be in the national spotlight again.

Register to vote now. Forms are available in the lobby of The Players Club at intermission of each production. You don't even have to see the production of The Best Man if you don't want to (but hand in your completed form and they'll take care of getting it delivered for you!).

Here's the story of The Best Man: "It’s the National Convention. The leading candidates are a principled intellectual who sees at least two sides to every question and an unprincipled politico who stands foursquare for whatever side is ahead in the polls. Gore Vidal’s 1960 drama has lost none of its edge a dozen presidential campaigns later." Director Brian Boland and his large cast production guarantee to give you a whole new perspective on the elections that are happening all around you. This play is extremely timely - don't miss it.

Production dates:

February 7, 8, 9, 10, 2008
February 14, 15, 16, 17, 2008
February 21, 22, 23, 2008

Thurs., Fri., and Sat. performances are at 8:00 PM
Sun. matinees are at 2:00 PM

Have a say, make a difference. It's simple, and The Players Club is ready to get you started.
