With the deal to purchase the Wall Street Journal being finalized and about a million other endeavors to grow, Rupert Murdoch is a busy media mogul.

He is also a very successful one, not the least due to his highly developed business sense.

When a man like Murdock recognizes the importance of the Internet and its omnipresence in our daily lives, it’s hard not to pay attention and take heed.

The Printed Press Is Dying

Ask newspaper publishers and they will grudgingly tell you that ad revenues and circulation are plummeting, and that it’s cost-prohibitive to get by without having an online counterpart to the print edition.

Murdoch knows this, citing steep drops in revenues for establishments like Tribune and the Times.

“Half of the men under 30 aren’t reading print newspapers, and there is no sign that they come back as they age,” he exclaimed in Time magazine.

The Many Uses Of The Internet

We use the internet for almost everything: ordering books, looking up directions, and even finding love. The Web is not only a permanent fixture of the modern world and our society, but has in fact become a necessity, especially if you run a business. Including a Theater business.

The Many Uses Of StageMagazineOnline.com

So it is only natural that Stage Magazine has now been reborn as StageMagazineOnline.com. It has been steadily growing since it opened in March of 2007, and has the potential to become the premiere site for everything theater-related.

StageMagazineOnline.com is poised to be a vital force in uniting the Theater Community and filling the seats of area Theaters.

Web 2.0 – Only Vital Sites Will Survive

The Web today is much more than simply a repository for information – it must be interactive, up-to-date, and user-friendly so that visitors will contribute content and visit and use it daily. StageMagazineOnline.com designed tools and technologies specifically for the Theater Community to make itself as useful and versatile as possible for everyone involved in theater – actors, managers, directors, owners, and of course, theatergoers.

At the core of it all is that StageMagazineOnline.com is not just a magazine, but an interactive community of theater professionals and theater lovers who are looking for a better way to share information and fill empty seats.

Actors find the latest auditions, theater managers find actors to fit any given part to a tee, and theatergoers find all the latest productions, even learning if a given production is appropriate for children or grandparents, and much, much more.

The Biggest Online Theater Community

Rupert Murdoch doesn’t want The Wall Street Journal for its printing presses nor for its archaic and expensive delivery methods – he wants to take the information it gathers and disseminate it as quickly and easily as possible.

And that’s what Charlie Seymour Jr. does for theaters. He, like Murdoch, knows that it is just sound business sense: “Why spend thousands of dollars on costly advertising that is likely to miss your target audience and take forever to deliver? Gather the hungry crowd in one place and speak directly to it through the Internet.”

Theaters need to fill every seat in the house by getting information to the right people as quickly and as easily as possible. Theater-lovers don’t need to spend hours finding plays to see – they find out the latest happenings and the most exact details where all the information is gathered and presented directly to them, saving time and much effort.

StageMagazineOnline.com does exactly that!

Murdoch and Seymour understand the value of the Internet. Both will create large communities and deliver their information directly by the Internet. It only makes sense.
